Story Behind the Design:
“Letting go is an art—one that requires both surrender and defiance.”
“Let It Go / Move On” is a piece that captures the volatile dance between love and hate, holding on and letting go, healing and self-destruction. It embodies Nycto Sun’s duality—a space where light and shadow coexist, where emotions are raw, messy, and deeply personal.
The dominant blue and black hues evoke a sense of melancholy and release, like ink bleeding into water—symbolizing emotions slipping through grasping fingers. The abstract waves at the bottom reflect the ebb and flow of human connection—sometimes crashing, sometimes receding, always moving. A distorted, tear-streaked figure looms amidst swirling darkness, embodying the struggle of release: Do we let go willingly, or are we forced to?
Among the chaotic composition, a wilted yet smiling sunflower clings to existence, a quiet testament to resilience. Its message is clear: Hiding behind a smile doesn’t erase pain, but it does prove survival. Above it, the words “Will you still love me tomorrow?” whisper the lingering fear of being forgotten, of time erasing what once felt eternal.
Scattered phrases like “Let go” and “Move on” appear like echoes of a lesson learned too late, reinforcing the necessity of growth despite the pain. The red teardrop from a vacant-eyed mask symbolizes both love lost and the fire that remains even after the storm.
This piece is a visual representation of transition—from attachment to acceptance, from love to self-liberation. It is for those who have ever struggled to release the past, but found beauty in the process of healing.
Wearing this is more than a fashion statement—it is an armor of experience, reflection, and the quiet strength of moving forward.#suriname #letitgo #custompants #oneofakind #abstract #artistsoninstagram
