Story Behind the Design:

“Bien Blue/Bad” delves deep into the internal struggle between light and darkness within the human psyche. It explores the dualities we all carry—good and bad, beauty and chaos, serenity and rebellion—through the lens of Nycto Sun’s philosophy.

The central figure is a hybrid of angelic grace and demonic intensity, with a third eye symbolizing heightened awareness. This eye peers into the unseen truths of the self, both terrifying and enlightening. The horns and exaggerated features speak to the raw, primal instincts that coexist with the mind’s higher aspirations. The phrase “BAD” etched across the bottom challenges the viewer’s perception of morality, prompting them to question whether the figure’s “badness” lies in its appearance, actions, or the judgment of others.

Surrounding the figure are swirling eyes and cryptic symbols, representing the constant surveillance of society and the pressure to conform to its ideals. Yet, the figure remains unapologetic, smoking a cigarette as a symbol of defiance, a stark reminder of individuality in the face of external scrutiny.
